This recycled Mango tote is made exactly for that. Soft sherpa inside cushions kit keeps things from sliding around. The waterproof shell shrugs off drizzle and wet benches. It’s reversible, so when your gear is wet after a dip, you can flip it to put the waterproof side shell inside, then switch back when it’s dry.

And the best bit? It’s made from offcuts from our Brobes by our founder, Max’s mum, Penny, and her friend Lesley. So it’s stylish, sustainable and sturdy enough for every day out. Love that.

BEACHBUM RECycled TOTe BAG

What makes our Recycled totes so special?

Developed by Penny (our founder’s mum!) with her friend Lesley, a talented seamstress, these totes were inspired by a simple idea: how can we make a bag to store your brobes (and other gear?) and reduce our waste at the same time?

We worked through a few prototypes until we landed on the final design: tough, reversible and big enough to store your Brobe, a change of clothes, and your water bottles and snacks.

“As a brand that encourages everybody to get outdoors and enjoy nature, it’s our responsibility to do our bit to look after it, too.

So we’re always on the lookout for ways to be kinder to the planet and make Beachbum more sustainable.

That’s where the totes came from. Lesley and I were experimenting with brobe offcuts to make cushion covers, pencil cases and all sorts to reduce waste and then we made a tote for carrying everything to the beach.

After a few design tweaks, we decided to make them available for Beachbums to buy to make getting out there even easier.”

Yep. It’s roomy enough for towels, bottles, snacks and spare layers, so you’re set for beach days, school runs or quick shops.

You can. It’s reversible, so flip it and put the waterproof shell on the inside when you’ve got wet gear, then switch back when it’s dry.

Shake the sand out, wipe the waterproof shell clean and spot clean the sherpa side when needed. It’s built for easy, everyday care.

Penny, our founder, Max’s mum, and her friend Lesley. We wanted to make use of all of the offcuts from our brobes so they played around with different ideas and then landed on the tote and then kept tweaking it until it felt spot on.
