But that’s not all. When we’re making the Brobes, we save the offcuts and turn them into roomy tote bags that can stash everything you need to keep you out there all day. (Plus, they flip inside out to store wet clothes after a dip.)
These recycled totes are made by Penny (Max’s mum) and her talented friend Lesley. We worked through a few prototypes until we landed on the final design: tough, reversible and big enough to store everything from a change of clothes to water bottles to snacks.

Very waterproof! The outside is 10k waterproof (which means it can holds up against 10,000mm of water per square inch. That is a lot of rain). But they’re also windproof, so it keeps rain and breeze off while you warm up. Plus, you’ve got the big hood, deep pockets and a cosy sherpa lining, so you’re all set for whatever the British weather throws at you.
That depends. If you want to use the Brobe as a changing robe, go true to size. It’s oversized by design so you’ve got plenty of room to get changed comfortably. If you’re looking to wear it as a coat, it’s a good shout to go a size down.
Yep! Loads of people do (including us). It’s great for school runs, sidelines and cold beach days. We’d recommend dropping down a size if you want to wear it as a coat though as it’s deliberately oversized for getting changed out of wet clothes.
Our brobes were designed to make it easy to warm up and dry off after cold dips or paddles and give you the space and privacy to get changed without the awkward car park shuffle. But they’re also perfect for everyday wear as a coat, so whether you’re spending your weekends out on the water or doing long windy walks with a four-legged friend, the brobe is a good shout.
