    KIDS PADDLE BOARDS FAQS

Absolutely! It’s a stable all-rounder that’s spot on for beginners but perfect for more seasoned paddlers, too. It’s designed to get set up quickly, track straight and it’s got a grippy deck so you can stay on top of the board (not swimming alongside it). If you’re not sure where to start with paddleboarding, feel free to give us a shout or have a chat with one of the many Beachbums already out there.

Yep! Our adult paddleboards are built to be stable and study enough for two people. Whether that’s another Beachbum, a little paddler or a four-legged friend. Because the only thing that beats getting out there on your board is doing it with your favourite people.

Not really. Most paddleboards are SUPs and all SUPS are paddleboard. SUP sounds fancy and technical but it just stands for Stand Up Paddleboard.

You can paddleboard in a lot of places around the UK but it depends. Some spots are open access and some need permission. It’s always worth checking out the local rules, tides and weather before you head out.

If you’re just starting out, we’d go for somewhere a bit sheltered so you can get back to shore easily. Calm mornings and evenings are usually best and harbours, bays and calm rivers are great for first sessions. But if you’re looking for a once in a lifetime paddle in the UK, you can’t beat a sunset paddle around Durdle Door (which is conveniently right on our doorstep).

Absolutely. We make kid-sized boards that are lighter and easier to handle. Head to the kids range and pick a colour to match.
