The Game Changing Women's Wetsuit
Friend of Beachbum, Frankie put our new Springsuits to the test on her latest adventure to Brazil. Here's her review of the Springsuits:
Fit & Feel: 9/10
You can tell that the Springsuit has been designed specifically for women. It hugs and supports in all the right places, and is far more flexible than others I've tried. It's it has the warmth of a summer wetsuit but also the freedom of a swimsuit. Giving me a better range of movement than a normal wetsuit style. The cut of the bottom of the Springsuit is also perfectly designed, not too revealing and not boringly modest.
Warmth & Coverage: 8/10
This is the perfect suit for cool to warm waters, the 2mm neoprene also has a thermo tech lining which means it gives a lot more warmth than I imagined so it could be used for cold water dipping. But if you're spending a longer amount of time in the water I would recommend it for cool or warmer water (Longer periods in cold water opt for a full length women's wetsuit). It meant I could kite all day without even the slightest chill as the long arm style kept my whole torso warm against the wind chill and in these conditions having my legs out was perfect for freedom of movement.
Durability: 10/10
I really put the Springsuits to the test using them everyday for 4 weeks. With more heavy landings and wipeouts trying new tricks than I'd like to admit, it held up without a scratch, rip or tear and served as a great layer of protection as I got dragged along the sand. If anything it got more comfortable and more fitted the more I wore it. The heavy duty zip also meant it never got jammed with all the salt water. Nice touch!
Style: 10/10
The colours are gorgeous and I think look even better once they're wet. I got so many people come up to me and ask where I got it from as they'd only seen black springsuits before. The chest zip is also really nice, giving it a classic look and also meaning I could zip all the way up for warmth or zip down a bit to cool off.
Checkout the range of Beachbum Springsuits here, I'd highly recommend them to any women paddle boarding, kiting, surfing or dipping!
